I am enjoying your story. I was unable to view Chapter 17, though. Thought you ought to know. Thanks

I love this story!!! I always thought Remus should be close to Harry too since he was James and Sirius' friend, but he just disappeared out of Harry's life after he met Sirius.

Lady Alchymia replied:

Hi Martha,

Remus really did just disappear after book 3, didn't he!   I liked him so much from Prisoner of Azkaban, and I wished they'd grown closer, but not to be ... ah well.

I'm glad you're enjoying the story :), many thanks!

I absolutely love this end bit! Remus all worried and it all being about girls. Wonderful! And the weak in th knees line. Great!

Lady Alchymia replied:

*smiles*   Thank you very much!   I very much wanted to bring Harry the teenager into the equation in this crisis, and all that entails with regard to  his priorities  as opposed to everyone else's.   I'm glad you enjoyed how it all ended up :).

Thanks!

fantastic story. I love the detail and the way you get so many characters with real flesh on them. Pun intended. Also I like the way you have used this 'accident' to introduce lots of completely new potential for the rest of the story.

Lady Alchymia replied:

Hi there,

Thank you very much for your generous compliments!   I'm relieved you like the amount of detail LoL.   And I'm gratified you see Harry's medical crisis (writing-wise) for what it is: an opportunity to kick off a bunch of new story elements.

Many thanks!!

Nice though I once again I am hoping this doesn't get any more angsty, such as to much more of this Cho/Harry which would only continue because all parties were retarded masochists. Latent magical talents? No, I really doubt Harry has any of those, perfectly average wizard that Harry.

Lady Alchymia replied:

Thanks very much.   I agree that Harry is  average in the sense that he doesn't have  super-hero  powers, but, then again, there aren't many teen wizards infected with a chunk of eau-de-Voldemort in their forehead, and on top of that (right now) Harry's body is still physically saturated with magical, transmuting quicksilver, which means you can just bet I'm going to  have fun messing with his head (and the rest of him) :D.

Very good chapter. Nice hospital drama. I was hoping him seeing how Cho only cared for an idealized version of him would turn him off her, but oh, well.

What's going on with Frank Longbottom? Did he die when Harry lost connection with him? How can you leave such a cliffhanger!

Loved Frank the snake. Great character!

Thanks for the update. Great story!

Tom A.

Lady Alchymia replied:

Hi Tom,

Thank you very much!   I'm glad you enjoyed the hospital melodrama :).

Cho and Harry ... let's just say that  their feelings are genuine, but what those feelings are exactly will become more clear to both of them in a wee while.

I'm very glad you're worried about Frank Longbottom!!!   Yes, there is a bit of a mystery there, and we'll learn  more on that topic before Harry is freed from Saint Mungo's.

Frank the python is such fun to write, I'm really delighted you like him!

Thanks for sharing your feedback with me!

Glad he's out of the bath, but not as much as harry would have been! Poor modest, shy Harry!

Lady Alchymia replied:

Harry's very glad to be out of the bath too! LoL.   Poor wee poppet--always so misunderstood.

Cheers!

I'm so glad you left that last scene there. I always loved it. Well, what can I say. Brilliant as usual!

Lady Alchymia replied:

Aww, you're very kind, thank you!!   A lot got cut, but I just couldn't lose that last scene either :).

Cheers!

I like it. The ending is real funny. I wonder: Will Harry now realise that Cho is not the right girl?

Lady Alchymia replied:

I'm pleased you like it, thanks!   Harry and Cho ... Harry is feeling very fond of Cho at the minute, but you can look forward to some new twists for them  in the next few chapters.

Cheers!

Hours and Hours of misunderstandings. Poor Harry. The things that bothered him were not obvious to anyone else. Poor Remus. I'm glad he's getting a laugh out of this finally. It seems Harry is a lot more receptive than he was before. I look forward to where you are going with that. Thanks, PMS

Lady Alchymia replied:

Hi there,

Oodles of misunderstandings, yes LoL!!   Poor Harry and Remus indeed!   I really wanted to play with perspective in this chapter, using a rare situation of everyone genuinely wanting to be helpful and managing to  jump to all sorts of wrong conclusions.

Many thanks for sharing your feedback :)

That was absolutely brilliant!!
The healing with the Patronus and Fawkes was perfect, the scene with Frank just right, and the very last bit with Remus lovely.
So it seems Harry is an Empath? I wonder what other new abilities will pop out?
What is this "Lily's Curse" you speak of?
Does Cho love the real Harry or an idealized version of him that's a composite of him and Cedric?
So many questions! Please update again soon to put me out of my misery!

Lady Alchymia replied:

Thank you very much!   I'm well chuffed you enjoyed all  those elements.

On Harry's new abilities ...  there is a lot of quicksilver still in his system, which is affecting him, but there is at least one power that will definitely stay with him.

On Lily's curse ... You'll find some clues in Chapter 9, "Sanctuary Surrendered" :).

Cho and Harry ... Cho is certainly genuinely fond of, and physically attracted to, Harry, and right now Harry is feeling pretty fond of her for helping him get out of the Mercurial Waters, but as to whether they are truly 'in love' ... you'll have to keep reading :P.   (But I think you are on the right track with your observation.)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
